April 2013. It was a great honor for me to contribute modestly to a scientific study on Chinese quail because it is a species that I love very much.
My participation was to provide feather samples as well as hatching eggs of the “US-Redbreasted” mutation of the Chinese painted quail (Coturnix chinensis)
These eggs were raised in Spain and the offspring used for scientific researches.
The results of this studies were published in the bi-monthly scientific journal Animal Genetics (Wiley-Blackwell / Wiley genetics) :
