The birds above pictured are the first “living” chicks born in my aviaries of the magnificent “silver” mutation of the Chukar partridge (Alectoris chukar).
During the breeding season 2019, I had one fertile egg, but the chick unfortunately never comes out the eggshell and died inside …
These seem to be quite strong and healthy!

They are one wild colored and one recessive white (black eyes)

Some juvenile of genetically pure Chinese painted quail.
Those birds come from pure wild breeding pairs that carry no mutation inside their genotype.

Here are a few photos of some young harlequin quail born from my breeding this spring 2020.
NB: For this season I have kept only three breeding pairs.
I took advantage of the last rays of the sun, this Sunday, May 24St, 2020 to take a few pictures of the first young quail born in my breeding this spring.
These are 2 young males and two young females from the breeding couple number 6.
I really hope they will become even so beautiful as their parents, their mother is particularly gorgeous, I will say certainly the most beautiful I now have.

These two chicks are born on May 22st, 2020.
It is difficult to predict the final colour they will have, but for sure, they will be both Fallow: bright pink eyes don’t deceive.
In my opinion, the clearest one should become US red-breasted silver Fallow and the other one a Brown Tuxedo Fallow.
