In tribute to my excellent friend, the german breeder Norbert K.J. GEISSLER from Konstanz who first took the initiative to call those very dark-headed US Red-breasted birds that way, I decided to keep his appelation.
I personally have bred a lot of beautiful birds out of eggs that he gave to me and… I think it is one of them:
